1. Major Annual Festivals
We observe the sacred days of the Vedic calendar with strict adherence to traditional rituals, chanting, and community service.

Shankaracharya Jayanti (April/May)
As followers of the Dasanami Sampradaya, this is one of our most significant days. We celebrate the birth of Adi Shankaracharya, the codifier of Advaita Vedanta.

Activities: Special Bhashya Parayanam (Reading of Commentaries), Paduka Puja, and a discourse on the life of the Great Master.

Guru Purnima (July)
The day dedicated to the Teacher. On this auspicious day, we honor the lineage of Gurus starting from Lord Dakshinamurthy to Veda Vyasa and our present Acharyas.

Activities: Vyasa Puja, diksha (initiation) for eligible seekers, and Bhandara (community feast) for Sadhus.

Gita Jayanti (November/December)
Celebrating the day Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita. Given our massive Gita Gyan Program, this is a grand celebration involving thousands of students.

Activities: Mass chanting of all 18 chapters of the Gita, competitions for students, and distribution of free scripture copies.

Maha Shivaratri (February/March)
A night of silence and worship dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Activities: All-night Rudra Abhishekam, chanting of the Rudram, and meditation sessions.

Ratha Yatra Seva (June/July)
Located in the holy dham of Puri, the Car Festival of Lord Jagannath is central to our calendar.

Activities: Our Math sets up special Free Water & Food Stalls (Chhatra) to serve the lakhs of pilgrims visiting Puri during the Yatra. We also arrange special accommodation for visiting Sadhus.
